Terms of Service
Version 1.0 · Last updated 6 September 2026
The short version
- Your art stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to show it.
- We won't use your work to promote visitmy.art without asking you first, every time.
- It's free and it's early. Things may break. Keep your own copies.
- Only upload work you have the rights to.
- You can delete everything, whenever you want.
This summary is here to orient you, not to replace what follows. The numbered sections are the actual agreement.
1. Who you're dealing with
visitmy.art is run by Michal Chermak, an individual based in Slovakia. There is no company behind it — it's a personal project. You can reach me at michalchermak@gmail.com, and that's the address for everything in these terms unless stated otherwise.
"We", "us" and "our" below mean the same person. "You" means whoever is using the service.
2. What visitmy.art is
A free service for building a three-dimensional gallery of your artwork that visitors can walk through in a browser, published at visitmy.art/yourname.
It is in early development and currently invitation-only. Features may change or be removed, and the service itself may change substantially or stop. By using it you accept that you're using something unfinished.
3. Who can use it
- You must be 18 or older to create a gallery.
- You need an access code while the service is invitation-only.
- One gallery per account.
- The information you give when signing up should be accurate.
4. Your account
Signing in works by a link sent to your email address, which means whoever controls your email controls your account. Keep it secure. You're responsible for what happens through your account. If you think someone else has access to it, tell us.
5. Your work stays yours
This is the section that matters most, so it's written as plainly as we can manage.
5.1 You keep ownership
You keep every right you already have in everything you upload — images, video, audio and text. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership or copyright to us, and nothing here makes our rights exclusive.
5.2 The permission you give us
To show your gallery to anyone at all, we need your permission to do certain technical things with your files. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, adapt and publicly display your content — solely for the purpose of operating visitmy.art and showing your gallery to the people you share it with.
"Adapt" here means technical processing only: resizing, compressing, converting file formats, and generating previews so your gallery loads quickly. It does not mean editing, altering or making derivative versions of your work.
5.3 Who else this covers
The licence extends to the infrastructure providers we use to run the service — currently Supabase for storage and databases, and Cloudflare for delivery — but only to the extent they need in order to store and serve your files. It goes no further than that, and we don't sublicense your work to anyone else.
5.4 We won't use your work to promote the service
We will not use your artwork or your gallery in any marketing, advertising, social media post, showcase or example without asking you first, and getting your agreement, each time. The licence in 5.2 exists to run the service, and nothing more.
5.5 When the permission ends
The licence ends when you delete the content, or when you delete your account. Copies may survive briefly in backups and in content-delivery caches after that; these are removed on a rolling basis within 90 days. Anything already copied or cached by third parties — search engines, someone's browser, a visitor who saved an image — is outside our control.
5.6 What you're confirming
By uploading something you confirm that you own it or otherwise have the rights to it, and that showing it on visitmy.art doesn't break anyone else's rights — including the rights of any people who appear in it.
6. Publishing
Your gallery is private until you publish it. Publishing makes it accessible to anyone who knows or finds the address, and search engines may index it. You can unpublish at any time, which stops us serving it — though as in 5.5, copies already cached elsewhere aren't ours to withdraw.
7. What you may not upload or do
- Work you don't hold the rights to.
- Anything illegal under Slovak or EU law.
- Anything that sexualises a minor. This is absolute. It results in immediate removal, permanent loss of the account, and a report to the authorities.
- Sexually explicit material made for arousal.
- Harassment, hate speech, threats, or material targeting an individual.
- Impersonating someone else, or claiming a gallery name in order to mislead people about who you are.
- Malware, attacks on the service, scraping, working around storage limits, or automating account creation.
On nudity: this is a platform for artists, and artistic nudity is welcome — life drawing, figure studies, nudes, figurative painting, documentary and fine-art photography. The line is drawn at sexually explicit material made for arousal, which isn't what this is for.
8. Copyright complaints and illegal content
Anyone can report content they believe is illegal, copyright infringement included — you don't need an account and you don't need to be the person affected. The report page sets out the whole process, including what happens after a notice arrives and how long it takes. In short, email michalchermak@gmail.com with:
- the work you say is infringed;
- where it appears on visitmy.art (the gallery address);
- how to contact you;
- a statement that you're the rightsholder or authorised to act for them.
We'll look into it promptly and remove material where the complaint is well-founded. The person whose gallery it is will normally be told what was removed and why, and can respond — if they show the complaint was mistaken, we'll restore it. Accounts that repeatedly infringe are closed.
9. Moderation
We may unpublish, remove or suspend content or accounts where we believe these terms have been broken, or where the law requires it.
There is no automated content moderation on visitmy.art. No filters, no classifiers, no automated detection. Every decision to restrict something is made by a person, prompted either by a report or by something we noticed ourselves.
Where we do restrict something, we'll send you a statement of reasons — what was affected, whether it was because the content is illegal or because it breaks these terms, the facts we relied on, and how to challenge it — unless we're legally prevented from telling you. You can reply and ask us to reconsider, and a person will look again. The report page explains this in full. Nothing in it affects your right to take the matter to a court or to your national authority instead.
10. Availability — and the fact this is early
The service is free and provided as it is. We don't promise it will be available, that it will work correctly, or that it will continue to exist. It's an early project run by one person in their own time.
Keep your own copies of your work. Do not rely on visitmy.art as the only place your files exist. Data loss is unlikely but entirely possible, and we can't undertake to recover it.
Storage and upload limits apply (currently 200 MB per account, with per-file limits by type) and may change as the service develops.
11. Ending it
You can stop using visitmy.art whenever you like. To delete your gallery and your account, email michalchermak@gmail.com and we'll remove them, along with your uploaded files, subject to the backup timeline in 5.5.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. If the service shuts down, we'll give as much notice as we reasonably can so you can take your work with you.
12. Liability
Because the service is free and provided as it is, and to the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for lost or corrupted work, lost income or opportunity, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of visitmy.art.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you're a consumer, your statutory rights under Slovak and EU law are unaffected by anything written here.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll tell you by email or in the editor before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms. The version and date at the top of this page tell you when they last changed.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic, and the courts of the Slovak Republic have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country, and you may bring proceedings where you live.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms, copyright complaints, account deletion, or anything else: michalchermak@gmail.com.
